1994年10⽉份, 法国政府⼀次国家的⼤型的营养补充调查: “ SU.VI.MAX. ”. 由法国卫⽣局制定 Serge Hercberg医⽣负责。 该研究从1994年开始⼀直到2003年，历时8年。总共有13017位男性和⼥性，⼀组摄⼊每⽇摄⼊维C、维E、胡萝卜素、锌、以及硒。 结论发现： 通过每⽇摄⼊抗氧化微量元素，癌症发病率降低31%，意外伤亡降低37%。

该研究的微量元素定性，定量，以及效果跟踪是由格勒诺布尔⼤学⽣化系负责，安娜玛丽·罗素教授 也是团队负责⼈之⼀。
